Job Description
Under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor, Quality Assurance Technician works within a multidisciplinary team to maintain and improve the quality of our products.
As part of your daily work, you would have to:
- Conduct quality checks on products at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
- Validate non-conformities (measurements-drawings), inspect stock to measure the extent of the issue and initiate MRR (Material Rejection Report)
- Create derogation requests and ensure their follow-up.
- Train QA Inspectors
- Work in collaboration with production supervisors to find the root cause of non-conformities. Manage quarantine area, return non-conforming product to vendor and schedule rework of internal non-conformities.
- Excel (intermediate).
- Word (intermediate).
- Be action and results oriented.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Ability to organize and structure own work.
- Must be able to read Engineering drawings and use basic measurement tools (Ex. Calipers and micrometer)
- While performing the duties of this job, Quality Assurance will be required to be on their feet for 8 hours, kneel, and stoop, along with being able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma
- 1 year of experience in a similar position.
- Experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
